ABOUT THE APP
Anonymity is the integral aspect upon which UUP technology is built. A group of servers, which do not have access to the whereabouts of the person connecting, form a network at the lower level. Each client receives a public key and a private key, both of which are not sent to the server. In this way, the user's identity is protected. Hash algorithms derived from the client device are irreversible, making it impossible to track the public key corresponding to open communication channels on the server.
There are two device-level libraries. One handles the transmission protocol with the server while the other handles a high-performance protocol that works at the byte level in binary to extract the maximum potential from the hardware without overloading the machine. From plain text to large video streams, the scalable "point-to-multipoint" protocol can be used for massive encrypted data transmission. The intrinsic speed of the server makes large file transmissions possible.
Unlike competing applications, UUP's evolving protocol guarantees a high level of security and confidentiality through a reliable system and open-source data encryption.
HOW TO USE THE APP
Uup App is based on asymmetric encryption of messages and secure channeling for communication. The application is based on the concept of public key and private key. Users can only be contacted if they share a public key and add contact. The private key is generated based on the device and does not need any email, mobile number or anything else to work. All you need is an internet connection and a mobile device. The public key can be shared with the QR code or simply scan the code.
After installing the app, the next steps include
1. Open your Uup and enter (where it asks) your name (or first and last name, or nickname). Click next and you are in the app.
2. There are 4 main menu options at the bottom of the screen. The first is the chat screen. It will be empty at first as no contacts have been added yet. The second option is to scan or share your QR code for others to add. Third time on the list is the profile where you can edit your username, picture and share your public key with others. The last one is the application settings menu.
3. To add contacts and share your key or QR code, we have added menu options in the top left corner of the screen. You can add contact from there by copying and pasting the public key or scanning the QR code for the user.
4. After a user is added, the system also notifies the other user about inclusion in the contact list. Now you can open chat, send messages (audio, images and text) and also record voices for voice notes. The location can also be sent by message.
Our system is secure in the sense that we do not store any type of user data. Even picture messages are also stored in an encrypted form on the device and do not appear in the gallery and also cannot be accessed by any other application.
